SAD NEWS
It is with deep sadness that I inform you of the passing of Mick Rochford who passed away suddenly on Saturday after a long illness. Mick was a CPL Cook in the Battalion and deployed to Somalia on OP SOLACE. Mick has lived here in Townsville since his retirement from the ADF.
Our deepest condolences go to Mick’s wife Sharon and his children and extended family.
The following message is from his eldest son Kane:
"Just an update: Dad's funeral will be held on Friday this week March 1st at 1pm. The service will take place at Morleys Funeral Home at 2 Martinez Avenue at The Lakes, Townsville. Dad was such a casual guy and as such we are more than happy for you all to wear colour, no need for suits, just something to celebrate his life. In lieu of flowers, any kind donations could please be made to Kidney Health Australia so that in future less people can suffer from the same health issues dad has. Again, thanks for your sympathies and condolences in advance, and hope to see you all on Friday. Love you dad!"
